We are looking for enthusiastic and dynamic team members to play their part in our Welcome team here at Sizergh.
As the face of our property, you will be providing a warm and friendly welcome, delivering exceptional service to our visitors, answering questions and sharing information about our site and the wider National Trust.
This role is a chance to really engage with and inspire our visitors, as well as grow support for the National Trust through Membership Recruitment, fundraising and sharing our causal message.
You will be playing an active part in our team, helping us deliver our exciting programming and offers, contributing to our membership recruitment targets and making our visitor’s day even more enjoyable and memorable.
Interviews: 29th February with preferable start date week commencing 11th March. You’ll also need to be available to work an essential training date 21st March
Salary: £10.78 per hour
Contract/duration: Fixed term contract until January 2026
Hours/working pattern: The hours are 1100 per year, which is approx. 4 days per week, each shift being 7 hours, includes weekends and bank holidays
What it’s like to work here
Reporting to the Welcome Manager, you’ll be part of a team of 10 working at Sizergh Castle property.
We have a fantastic team here at Sizergh, who all thrive in delivering an exceptional experience for our visitors and supporters. With a large team of staff and over 170 volunteers we look after this incredible 12 century grade 1 listed house, ornate gardens with a grade 2 listed rock garden and the 1600 acre estate and wetland. There are a variety of opportunities to explore this incredible environment and to get involved with the teams that take care of it.
What you’ll be doing
Day to day, you’ll deliver a great all-round customer service experience. You’ll be on hand answering queries and listen to what our visitors need so you can share the right information. Your role is to make sure our visitors have the best day they can. You’ll have the chance to be involved in different aspects of the visitor experience, from key property events to social media promotion – no two days are the same.
Great visitor experiences are in our nature, and we believe everyone should feel welcomed, appreciated and more engaged because of the excellent service you provide.
