The Successful Candidate:

We are looking for someone to lead our Reception and Nights Team. The candidate will have previous reception experience in a Hotel environment and an enthusiastic knowledge of tourism in the Lake District. They will possess excellent written and verbal communication skills – the ability to talk to anyone! They will have a high standard of presentation personally and attention to the presentation of their surroundings to ensure that guests have the best experience at all times. This is a customer facing role and is often the first and the last impression guests make of our Hotel. It can be fast moving at times, especially at check-in/check-out times where the need to prioritise guest requirements is imperative and will therefore require a well organised approach to work.

The reception and nights team is a busy, friendly department and to succeed in this role you’ll need a variety of skills, including:

  • Delivering exceptional customer service to guests from check-in to check-out.
  • Displaying an excellent rapport with guests and being able to deal with difficult situations.
  • Using booking systems such as Rezlynx confidently.
  • Managerial experience within a customer / guest facing department, within a hospitality or hotel setting.
  • Experience in leading, motivating and developing a team.
  • Passion and dedication for delivering an outstanding guest experience.
  • Willingness to help wherever needed – you’ll be proactive and hands-on.
  • Genuine interest in making memorable and magical moments for guests.

Flexibility to work any 5 days across 7 including weekends and early / late shifts.
