Job Title: Marketing Assistant & Copywriter – £25,900 per annum

Location: Lodore Falls Hotel & Spa, Lake District

Please note that this position does not offer flexible or remote work options and requires 100% office-based attendance

Position Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic Marketing Assistant & Copywriter to join our innovative marketing team. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for crafting engaging copy, a flair for creativity and a keen eye for detail. This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to our multi-channel marketing efforts and showcase your talent in a vibrant and collaborative environment. This is a full-time opportunity, based at our head office at the Lodore Falls Hotel & Spa.

Responsibilities:
• Craft compelling content for various marketing channels including the company blog, email marketing campaigns, social media platforms, and promotional materials.
• Manage and curate content for the Lake District Hotels blog to engage and captivate our audience.
• Update and maintain the Lake District Hotels event page with accurate and up-to-date information.
• Attend events to capture captivating content and promote them effectively on social media channels.
• Create and schedule content for specific Instagram accounts related to our properties, such as Lodore Falls and Inn on the Lake wedding accounts.
• Collaborate with wedding photographers to acquire high-quality imagery for promotional purposes.
• Assist the Group Marketing Manager in creating engaging social media posts and developing video content for platforms like Instagram and TikTok.
• Maintain a consistent presence on Google MyBusiness by posting weekly content and responding to reviews promptly.
• Liaise with various departments and personnel within the organisation to gather information and coordinate marketing initiatives.
• Participate in creative meetings, contribute imaginative ideas for marketing campaigns, and support brainstorming sessions.
• Monitor and analyse social media growth metrics to identify trends and optimise content strategies.
• Update third-party websites with accurate information and ensure brand consistency across all platforms.
• Conduct website audits and assist in proofreading marketing materials to maintain high standards of quality.
• Manage and schedule content for the in-house staff HR Instagram account.
• Prepare comprehensive reports on marketing performance and assist with various administrative tasks as needed.
Requirements:
• English Language and English Literature GCSE qualifications essential.
• Proven experience in creative writing, copywriting, or content creation.
• Proficiency in Instagram and Facebook with a strong understanding of social media best practices.
• Familiarity with WordPress is preferred but not required.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a keen attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• Highly organised with strong time management skills and the ability to multitask effectively.
• Valid driver’s license and the correct candidate must own their own car to commute to our central office and other hotel locations.
