An exciting opportunity has arisen for a commis chef to work in the professional kitchen at The Castle Green Hotel. This may be your first role in catering, but it may be that you are looking to move to progress your career. Full training will be given and the opportunity to learn on the job and through college.

Commis Chef responsibilities including:

  • Assisting in the food preparation process
  • Cooking and preparing elements of high quality dishes
  • Preparing vegetables, meats and fish
  • Assisting other Chefs
  • Helping with deliveries and restocking
  • Assisting with stock rotation
  • Cleaning stations
  • Contributing to maintaining kitchen and food safety standards.

Hours of work are straight shifts, predominantly 2pm to 11pm, but some 9am to 5pm shifts may also be required. Days of work are 5 per week to include weekends.
